How many hours do you stay on the day?
I try to be there as early to get a good set of pictures of the bride and groom getting ready, and I stay at least until the first dance, and usually a bit longer.
Do you shoot colour as well as black & white?
Yes. I shoot everything on Nikon digital cameras which shoot in colour. However, I’m a big fan of black & white photographs and when doing my post-production work on your images, I will make monochrome conversions of most of them. When I do, you will get both the colour and monochrome image files so you can choose which you like best.
Do you shoot group photos as well as reportage?
Yes. Although the vast majority of my photographs will be candid, documentary style moments, I like to get all formal group shots.
How many pictures do we get?
I aim to supply approximately 200 high resolution, colour corrected, print-ready images on your USB. Most of these will be in both monochrome and colour. Over the years I’ve found that 200 works out to be a good number – enough so you have plenty of variety and comprehensive coverage, but not too many that its overwhelming.
Do I have to order an album?
Personally, even with all the latest technology that’s now available, I still think the best way to present your pictures is in printed form. I will supply you with a USB from which you can have your own prints made, but if you would like to choose photographs to be printed in a top quality album, I will happily arrange that for you.
Do you have plans in case of emergencies?
I have a number of colleagues who also shoot weddings. They are experienced professionals and I would have no hesitation in calling on them to cover for me in circumstances where it was impossible for me to get to your wedding. So far, this has never been necessary. I have a new, reliable car, with full AA cover, multiple cameras and lenses in case of failure and a comprehensive computer backup system to keep your images safe after the wedding.
When do we see our images?
3-4 Weeks is an average turn-around. Some people might consider me a perfectionist, but really its about producing the best work I can for you. As a professionally trained Graphic Designer I do all of the post production myself, that way I keep full control over the whole process.
