ANALOG: I’m terrified of this print.

I’m terrified of this print. You might think I’m kidding but I’m not. Imagine all the work and time that is involved to shoot film, process it and make prints in my backyard shed/darkroom. In this day and age, it is a little crazy.

What on the surface might not look like a big deal, is actually a big deal. When the photography world is charging on down the digital superhighway, choosing to go back to a slower/older photographic process makes me scared. I worry that I could, quite frankly be forgotten and looked upon like some “old guy” that never really could keep up with new technologies. There were many times when I kicked myself for not taking this on sooner, I have moments of doubt, frustration, lack of knowledge, etc. But at the heart of this, is the idea of doing something that feels right to me, regardless of the outcome.
