ALL digital cameras are time bombs and WILL die. RIP to the #ricohgr it’s had 4 years of full on abuse. Shooting everyday, in every weather condition. It’s been dropped, it’s been with me through 2 national parks, shooting in the rain & snow, crushed & bashed on ski fields, on numerous bike rides, 2 South Island road trips, protests and winter festivals, it’s on me every day & night, it’s in my bag, thrown in the car, grabbed at birthday parties by children. I could go on forever……
So, it’s now doing weird things and will probably become another paperweight on my desk.
I won’t say the build quality on this little baby was good. It had developed a couple of spots of sensor dust, all the rubber grips peeled off. But….here’s the thing…
It’s one of the best handling cameras I’ve ever used.
Will I get another?
FUCK YES! Like many others have already said, it’s the best value for money #streetphotography Camera around… image quality is on par with the #fujix100t for 1/2 the price.
Time for a drink!
